Affordable Night Vision with Photo and Video Recording
SiOnyx Aurora is a 6" long, 8oz. night vision system that also records 780p video and still images as you see through it. It is priced in the hundreds of dollars, not thousands, can be remotely operated up to 30 feet away through Android and IOS phone apps, and gives you eyes in the night for your surveillances, searches in the dark, or situational awareness before you go into dark places.
Aurora is also useful for search and rescue work at night, allowing good vision by starlight over water or in fields and woods.
Aurora's performance is approximately at the Gen 3 night vision level, and its 8 oz weight and 6 inch length make it fit perfectly into the side pocket of a jacket, 511/bdu’s, or an overcoat. It can be used and controlled remotely (up to 30 ft away) to see a subject or location through the SiOnyx mobile phone app (Android or iOS), including taking photos or video and sending them by email to support a warrant request; used to see what’s in a dark shadow in an alley or pitch black yard, or to see out over a night time darkened woods, lake, harbor, sea, or field in search of suspects or victims.
The Aurora is also available in an Explorer Kit, in a hard protective case and including an Aurora Day/Night system, two 32GB Micro SD cards, 2 rechargeable camera batteries, AC and DC (car) chargers, a wrist lanyard in addition to the standard neck strap, and a picatinny rail mount (rated for 5.56 NATO/.223 caliber patrol rifles). This kit also includes an 850 nm wavelength infrared flashlight, invisible to unaided the human eye, which enables the Aurora to see out to approximately 200 yards in total darkness (complete absence of ambient illumination) such as in a closed and darkened warehouse or attic. The camera has a standard tripod mount (1/4-20 thread) for attaching to monopods & extenders, tripods, or lighting clamps for remote viewing, image capture, image downloads, and complete control up to 150 feet away via its built in WiFI and a free cell phone app (both iOS and Android)
